Privacy Policy

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number and company name (if provided) through our rental booking, drone service, commercial connectivity, contact and marketing sign-up forms.
• Booking and request details: the equipment or service selected, rental dates, pickup or site information, intended use and any notes you send us.
• Payment records: booking deposits and balances are paid by Interac e-Transfer. We keep the confirmation, amount and reference — we never see or store your online banking details, and we do not store payment card numbers.
• Invoicing records: invoices and receipts are issued and stored through Zoho Invoice as part of our accounting.
• Marketing consent: your email address and opt-in choice, if you choose to sign up for offers and updates.

• To check availability, confirm bookings and arrange pickup, delivery or a shoot.
• To record deposits, issue invoices and receipts, and track balances.
• To contact you about your booking, including changes or safety information.
• To meet tax, accounting, insurance and legal obligations.
• To send offers and updates only if you opted in. Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe.

We share personal information only with the service providers we use to operate the business: our invoicing and accounting provider (Zoho Invoice), our website hosting and database provider, and our email delivery service. Payments move through your own bank via Interac e-Transfer rather than a card processor on our site. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we may disclose information where required by law.

Booking, invoice and payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Marketing consent records are kept until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.

Access to booking data is restricted to the people who run the business. The admin area requires sign-in and signs out automatically after inactivity. Payment, invoicing and other service credentials are stored server-side only and are never exposed in your browser.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's built-in storage only to make the site work:

• Sign-in session for the admin area, kept in local storage by our authentication provider.
• A record that you have dismissed the marketing sign-up prompt, so we don't show it again (local storage).
• Short-lived session-storage flags that prevent a promotion earned during the current visit from being applied to that same booking. These clear when you close the tab.

Marketing emails are optional and sent only with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe option in a message or by emailing hello@theremotecamper.ca. Unsubscribing does not affect booking-related emails, which we send as part of providing the service.

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or request deletion of information we are not legally required to keep (for example, we must retain invoice and payment records for tax purposes). Email your request to hello@theremotecamper.ca or use our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site may link to third-party websites (for example our social media profiles). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
